This small round shape diamond is great for working in glass or etching hard materials. It also is well suited to smooth and cut into wood or softer materials to carve patterns. The ball diamond works by grinding rather than cutting. The tiny diamonds chips are bonded to the bur tip. Diamond works best on hard, brittle materials where carbide cutting blades would chip, shatter, or dull rapidly.
